We are a spiritual community from all walks of life transformed by a relationship with Jesus and committed to radically living out God’s Word.
Healthy things grow, and we desire to see spiritual growth in every aspect of life. As healthy followers of Jesus our life change is the catalyst to see life change happen in people around us as they come to know Jesus Christ.
We fully recognize that only God can change a person’s heart, but we also recognize that Jesus has called His church to be hands and feet as we spread the gospel message in both word and deed. We gather others to our church through real, authentic relationships built over time.
Life With God
God’s desire is that He might be known and enjoyed for His nature and character.
We believe that the center of the gospel is the glory and grace of Jesus Christ. So, we strive to be a church that is centered on the gospel and reconciled to God through Christ.
We preach the grace of Jesus unapologetically because it is God’s grace that trains us to be holy (Titus 2:11-12). Because of what Jesus did on the cross, we can now be reconciled to God. Our mission is to preach this gospel unapologetically to the world.
Life With Others
Though each Christian has a personal relationship with God, that relationship is not individual or private. The Christian faith is not intended to be lived in isolation. We were made for community; relationship with God and with each other. The local church is not merely a place that we attend but a people to whom we belong. The Bible calls us members of the body (1 Corinthians 12:12-31) with the expectation that we contribute to the body for the glory of God and the good of His people.
Reconciliation with others means living in a Gospel-centered community together; a radical call amid a culture of mere attendance and casual involvement. It involves mutual love, care, consistency and authenticity as we seek to adorn the person and work of Christ with our lives.

A Story Of God's Amazing Grace
Thrive's story is as unique as each of our own. Starting as a home Bible study in 1952, our church has always had a passion to see lives changed through personal relationships and the power of God's Word. Over the years our methods have changed but our mission remains the same: helping everyone take the next step in their relationship with God. We believe God has called us to reach communities all over York County with the gospel message of Jesus Christ and we are committed to sharing His love in a Relevant, Relational, and Real way. Our second campus of Thrive Church launched in September of 2024 and we are praying to see many more campuses launched in communities all across York County!
